Highlands and Islands MSP Emma Roddick has expressed her delight in regards to vital funding support that will be available in next year’s Scottish Budget, including the Welfare Fund and the Discretionary Housing Payment.
This is a part of the 2022-2023 Scottish Government Annual Budget announcement and includes ambitious plans to be implemented to make a greener fairer Scotland.
Roddick said:
“This funding will be a lifeline for so many people in the coming year.
“The cost of living, the housing crisis, and the pandemic have made making ends meet even harder for the people of Scotland.
“I would like to encourage those who are eligible to apply for the Welfare Fund and Discretionary Housing Payment to do so.
“No one should have to struggle to pay for essentials.
“I look forward to seeing all of the good this budget will do for Scotland”.
