Emma Roddick MSP met with representatives from SIC Youth & Employability Services to hear about their work supporting people of all ages across Shetland.
Emma Roddick has heard of the support SIC Youth & Employability provide for folk of all ages across Shetland.
SIC Youth & Employability Service deliver everything from youth clubs across the isles, mental health support, pathways for further education and employment, and assisting children at school.
Speaking on the service, Emma said:
“The team at SIC Youth & Employability Service does incredible work in supporting folk across Shetland, from those struggling in school to those looking for a change in career later in their career.
“It was so lovely to hear how much children and young people in Shetland value the service, using the youth clubs as a way to socialise and make new friends and getting support from the team when it comes to their future careers.
“It is great to hear that organisations in Shetland have come together as one to work collaboratively, putting the folk they are supporting first.
“I’m delighted to hear of the difference they are making and how many folk they have helped into positive destinations through their work.”
