EMMA RODDICK LAUNCHES SURVEY TO ASK CONSTITUENTS HOW THEY WOULD LIKE TO MEET WITH THEIR MSP

Emma Roddick has launched a Surgery Survey to better understand the needs of her constituents when it comes to meeting with them.

The survey follows Emma’s previous survey at the end of last year where constituents were asked how they want to engage with elected representatives.

The results of the survey showed that surgeries were the preferred method of engagement for a majority of respondents.

Surgeries give constituents a chance to meet one-on-one with their elected representative to seek help and support or chat about issues that they care about.

On the launch of the survey, Emma said:

“I am excited to launch this survey to hopefully get more of an insight into how my constituents want to meet and engage with me.

“The results of my previous survey showed that constituents wanted to engage through surgeries, but I am conscious of how accessible they are and what people want from them.  I always think the word surgery comes across as very clinical and not what it actually is, which is really just a chat with a person who represents you.

“I want to hear from constituents about how best to approach planning my surgeries – what locations people would like them to be held at, what time is most convenient, and what they would expect to get out of it.

“As I said after my previous survey, this is part of a series of events and surveys I am planning to carry out to ensure I am engaging effectively with constituents and doing all I can to serve them best as an elected representative.”

You can fill the survey out here.
