Highlands & Islands MSP says local additional needs support charity is providing invaluable opportunities to people in Inverness

Highlands & Islands MSP Emma Roddick has recently visited staff and service users at Special Needs Action Project (SNAP) in Inverness. The charity, which supports people with additional support needs, offers a range of clubs, activities, and social experiences.

Commenting on the visit, she said:

“It was brilliant to go along and hear about all the incredible work SNAP is doing to support people with additional support needs in Inverness.

“Those with additional support needs can often feel very isolated socially. SNAP works to tackle this by providing opportunities, particularly for young folk where those opportunities are harder to find, to connect with each other, make friends, and become more independent.

“I was grateful to be able to join the youth club’s activity night, which was an energetic session of tennis, and see and hear first-hand just how much SNAP means to these young people.

“I’d like to thank the team at SNAP for welcoming me into their community and for continuing to provide such an invaluable service.”
