Highlands and Islands MSP Emma Roddick today asked for reassurance that a full leadership team would be in place in NHS Grampian in order to deliver recommendations set out by a review into Moray maternity services published this week.
She said:
“There is a massive strength of opinion within Moray about this issue. It is a deeply personal and emotional campaign for many, including those parents who have a harrowing story of how their baby was born.
“It is absolutely necessary to have a full and dedicated leadership team in place in NHS Grampian to deliver solutions as quickly as possible for the people of Moray – including those we’re yet to meet.
“I was glad to hear reassurance from the Cabinet Secretary on that point and will continue to press for the leadership we need on this issue.”
