Emma has urged households in the Highlands & Islands to check if they are eligible for a reduction to their council tax bill.
The council tax reduction scheme, introduced by the SNP in 2013, helps households on low income save money on their bill.
The scheme has saved Scottish households over £3.5 billion in the past decade, with the average home seeing £800 off their bills per year.
Commenting on the scheme, Emma said:
“Figures released by the Scottish Government show that the SNP’s council tax reduction scheme is helping households in the Highlands & Islands save money on their council tax.
“In the face of economic incompetence from Westminster, the SNP are committed to supporting folk, especially through the cost-of-living crisis.
“Many households across the region are already benefitting from the scheme, so I would urge folk to check on the Scottish Government website if they are eligible for a reduction in their council tax bill.”
