Emma has welcomed the announcement of a shortlist of contractors who will carry out work on the A9 between Tomatin and Moy.
On Tuesday [28th November], Fiona Hyslop, Minister for Transport, announced that there were three contractors shortlisted to upgrade the road to a dual carriageway. In the running are John Graham Construction Ltd, Sacyr UK Ltd, and Balfour Beatty Civil Engineering Ltd.
Emma said:
“I’m delighted the Cabinet Secretary has clearly listened to feedback and acted, with three contractors in the running for dualling the A9 between Moy and Tomatin.
“In addition to dualling this section of the road, it is great to hear that there are also plans to improve existing road and promote active travel with footpaths and an increase to public transport connections. This is something many constituents have written in support of.
“Communities have been eagerly anticipating an update on works for the A9, and the SNP remains committed to the project.”
