Dear Kevin,
I am writing regarding the Scottish Cup Final, currently scheduled to take kick-off on the 3rd of June at 5:30 pm.
As you will be aware the announced kick-off time has been met with considerable concern and disappointment from the fans of Inverness Caley Thistle Football Club.
The last train connection from Mount Florida to Inverness leaves before what would be the final whistle, meaning any fans travelling by train will have to leave the match early or will have to make further arrangements such as hotel bookings costing hundreds of pounds.
I have already written to the Chief Executive of the Scottish Football Association (SFA), Ian Maxwell, urging a change of kick-off time to the more traditional 3:00 pm.
However, I would ask that in the event that the SFA does not make the correct decision the Scottish Government work with Scotrail to add an additional later service to Inverness to allow fans to properly enjoy this momentous occasion.
Yours sincerely,
Emma Roddick
