Highlands and Islands MSP Emma Roddick today welcomed the vision for a fairer, greener, more equal Scotland set out by First Minister Humza Yousaf as the Scottish Parliament returned from recess.
In a statement to the Scottish Parliament, Humza Yousaf outlined his vision for Scotland and the outcomes his government aim to achieve by 2026 focussing on equality, opportunity, and community.
Commenting Ms Roddick said:
“The First Minister today set out his ambitious vision for the future of Scotland, including a focus on tackling poverty and delivering opportunity for all.
“It is no secret that right across Scotland faces genuine challenges but I am in no doubt that Humza is determined to ensure this Government delivers for the people of Scotland.
“It is clear that this Scottish Government will protect people across Scotland from the harm inflicted by UK Government policies and the ongoing cost of living crisis.
“I am looking forward to playing my part in delivering the First Minister’s vision and I will work tirelessly to ensure we will deliver for people right across Scotland. ”
